Application
To apply for the KIVU Gap Year Program students must meet the following requirements:
1. Be in their senior year of high school.
2. Graduate high school with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
3. Meet the registration requirements for attending Camp KIVU and have attended KIVU (formerly Kanakuk Colorado) for a minimum of one summer term.
4. Applied to a college of their choice or have clear intentions/goals for their future academic plans.
5. Must be 18 years of age by the time the Gap Year Program begins.
At this time, our program can allow for a maximum of 15 participants. Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a "first come, first serve" basis as we understand that post-high school plans are very time sensitive. Applications may be submitted for review so long as spots are still available in the program.
Upon arrival, the application will be reviewed by the KIVU full time staff with a turnaround response within 3 weeks.
Students accepted into the program will be asked to put down a non-refundable $300 deposit in order to reserve their spot.
ATTENTION PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS FOR 2011-2012: Applications may be sent to our office; however, the reviewing of each application will not begin until December 1st.
